me top tips to help you succeed even before you have started in the classroom.

Check out these top study tips:

  • Try relaxing. If you’re having a difficult time preparing for your studies try to relax. You could do this by going for a run and doing some exercise, listening to some relaxing study music or maybe even playing an instrument. There are many different ways to wind down.

  • Know how your brain works. This can help you to adapt and be more effective at studying. If you are right-brained, you are likely more creative and imaginative. To plan for your classes, try mapping out your notes using images or patterns or talking with a friend about your plans, it helps to be accountable with someone too. If you are left-brained, you might be a logical-thinker, processing and organizing information systematically. Some top tips are to set clear goals for your study process and to organize your notes using charts.

  • Remind yourself of your goals. It's great to know your goals at the start of the course but check half way through the course as sometimes goals change or if you have become demotivated then you may need reminding of why you started the course in the first place!

  • Sleep well. Getting enough rest is just as important as preparing for your course. Many students stay up all night staring at screens and this is not healthy both physically or emotionally. Make sure that you get enough rest so that you can start studying the next day. Remember a good night's sleep is good for the brain.

  • Take time out. Before, during or after the course take some time to relax and distract yourself by doing something different. This might be a 5 minute walk outside (it's important to get fresh air) or by having a snack or even a friendly chat with a neighbour.
